In my experience I had the best results with fellow water signs. The greatest love of my life was a pisces, it was perfect because she was submissive and allowed me to dominate the relationship, enjoying the stability and protection (both emotional and physical) I provided.
Second best was a cancer, we could stay at home and enjoy ourselves, we did not need other people or attractions to do so. She was sumbmissive too for a time, but later on we had a clash of wills, I had to end it all, because I also caught her lying to me once (it was unimportant that it was a white lie, a lie is a lie and a breaking of trust.)
I almost never get along with air signs and fire signs, too many arguments and fights, I had positive dealings with earth signs (Capricorn and Taurus).
